There is no 'magic pill' that will take the place of excercise. I know, the word 'excercise' is often viewed as something miserable that you 'have' to do. The belief that every time you workout you need to practically kill yourself is the main reason why people quit just after a few weeks. Overly sore muscles and images of pain during a workout make people come up with excuses... 'I don't have time today... Gotta clean up... Had to go grocery shopping... Need to help the kids with homework... yada yada yada yada...

The reality is that if something is important enough to you, and you can realistically see yourself doing it on a consistent basis, then you will make the time. My approach to fitness is that SOMETHING is better than NOTHING. In other words, I don't care if you just walk around the block, or do 10 push ups... it's better than NOTHING and will instill a habit that will eventually lead you into doing more and more. You'll be surprised how much you'll be able to do over time but, more importantly, how it becomes an effortless part of your lifestyle. That should be your goal... not losing 'X' amount of pounds.
